Massage and Soft Tissue Therapist
Ting was born in Taiwan and moved to the UK as a child with her family. She has worked as a Nurse and Mobile Carer and has lived in various Holistic and Therapeutic Communities. She has always had a keen interest in Health and Wellbeing. She wrote her dissertation at University on Stress. Through living in various holistic communities she discovered therapies and tools that she utilises to eleviate pain physically, mentally and emotionally.
In 2015 she started her training as a Massage and Soft Tissue Therapist. She did her ITEC Level 3 in Massage with Anatomy and Physiology and ever since then has built on those foundations. She has further qualifications in Deep Tissue Massage, Bellabacci Cupping, Hot Stones and Taping. She has an Onsite Seated Acupressure Massage qualification and works with corporate clients. She is also a qualified Reflexologist and most recently in 2022 qualified in Thai Yoga Massage. She has an ITEC Level 4 Sports Massage qualification from St Mary’s University in Twickenham, an institution renowned for the its sporting endeavours.
Having worked at numerous sporting events including London Marathon for many years, she drew inspiration from the amazing people she met at these Events. This inspired her to challenge herself and she completed her first Marathon in 2022.
In her treatments she uses a variety of techniques, drawing from all her training and experience. This may include relaxing, calming techniques to trigger point work, myofascial release, soft tissue release and stretching.
Ting is First Aid trained which she keeps updated every three years. In her spare time, she likes to run, go for walks and hikes, spinning in the gym, pilates and yoga. She also practises an active meditation technique. She attends pub quizzes, gigs and volunteers with her local conservation organisation protecting the environment and habitat. She believes that along with massage, movement, nutrition and mindset are key to a healthy body and mind.
