Amy Cozens

Osteopath

Amy has a Masters in Osteopathic Medicine from Plymouth Marjon University. She practices at both Osteo and Physio Sidmouth, and Ottery.

Amy’s knowledge and understanding allow her to address both a patient’s problem, and the underlying causes of the problem, through both direct and indirect treatment techniques. By asking informed questions, performing appropriate clinical testing, and providing patient-specific treatment and exercises, she strives to offer the best possible treatment for her patients.

Amy’s style as an osteopath follows a ‘structural’ approach, but she continues to increase her knowledge and understanding of both visceral and cranial osteopathy, to allow her to incorporate these styles into her treatments. In clinical practice, Amy has found a specialised interest in the treatment of children and sports personnel, but is delighted to try and help everybody!

Since the age of 10, Amy has been interested in becoming an osteopath, after she gained relief through osteopathic treatment for an injury. Since then, she has been working towards her dream of becoming a qualified, registered osteopath.

Amy has spent the last 10 years living in Devon, and has been running her own Swim School in Sidmouth since 2019. She is an active sports person who took part in rugby, swimming and water polo in university, and she is keen to continue participating in these.
