Mitchell Small

Registered Osteopath

Mitch is a fully registered osteopath who graduated from the University of Plymouth’s Marjon campus, bringing with him a fresh yet deeply empathetic approach to patient care. His path into osteopathy began with a fascination for anatomy and physiology and the powerful feedback he received while working as a massage therapist. The satisfaction of helping people move from pain to freedom of movement inspired him to pursue osteopathy — a profession that blends scientific understanding with human connection.

Mitch enjoys treating a wide range of patients but has developed a particular connection with older adults, helping them stay mobile, confident, and independent. This passion stems from his close relationship with his grandmother, whose recovery journey shaped his empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by the older generation.

His treatment approach is hands-on, adaptable, and always centred on the individual. Mitch combines soft-tissue techniques, joint mobilisation, and HVLA adjustments with exercise and nutritional guidance. His background in strength training gives him a practical understanding of movement and rehabilitation, allowing him to tailor recovery plans that are achievable, enjoyable, and effective.

Known for his calm, approachable manner, Mitch builds genuine rapport with his patients, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and supported at every stage of their care. His goal is simple: to help people rediscover trust in their bodies and the confidence to live actively and pain-free.
