Melissa Doble-Headon

Melissa Doble-Headon
Melissa is a newly graduated physiotherapist with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree from the University of Gloucestershire. She brings up-to-date clinical knowledge and a strong commitment to helping people improve movement, manage pain, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Melissa uses a combination of hands-on techniques – such as joint mobilisations and soft tissue work – alongside personalised advice and exercise programmes to support clients in reaching their individual goals. During her degree, she completed a range of musculoskeletal placements, including with Somerset County Cricket Club, where she developed skills in injury rehabilitation and structured recovery planning.
Her background in competitive gymnastics and university-level cheerleading has given her a deep understanding of physical performance and injury recovery. This experience enables her to support clients of all activity levels and backgrounds, whether they are athletes or simply seeking to move with greater comfort in their everyday lives.
Melissa has a particular interest in sport-related injuries and long-term injury prevention. She currently provides physiotherapy support for Okehampton Ladies RFC during training sessions and weekend matches.
Outside of work, Melissa stays active through gymnastics coaching, running, cycling, and gym training. She also enjoys helping on her family’s dairy farm, especially caring for the cows.
