Claire Powell
I’m Claire and I’ve been in the therapeutic massage industry for over 15 years. I have always been a keen sports person and am passionate about looking after my mind and body.Â
My achievements culminated in me completing various marathons, including the London Marathon in 2016. From the arduous training that was necessary at this time, training up to 5-6 times a week, it inspired me to want to help other people achieve their goals. This led to me studying to become an Advanced Personal Trainer.Â
My experience in helping clients reach their goals has been varied, including dietary advice to help people achieve their desired weight, advice on how to become functionally stronger or simply trying to help people gain more confidence and physical independence. After a few years as a personal trainer and after having a family of my own, I decided to study again to further my knowledge in rehabilitation and enhance my hands-on skills.Â
I have completed Sports Therapy qualifications as I had witnessed how a combination of training and massage could help prevent and treat a wide variety of injuries that can come from leading a busy life in trying to balance family, work and recreational commitments.Â
I believe that Sports massage is not just for your average sportsperson though, it really can be beneficial for anyone and I believe I have personally experienced its life changing benefits.Â
I am a caring and understanding person and I really want to help people. My goal as a Sports Massage Therapist is to listen and understand my clients needs.Â
I am a member of The Sports Therapy Association.Â
